According to few British veterans with PTSD who actually served in Afganistan that I spoke to , these boys tended to run towards them with a grenade in hand. Invariably they would not respond to warnings and were killed as soldiers had no choice. Who gave them a grenade? Some bearded f***r who remains alive and sends in more kids.

Skillful and detailed miniature...poor taste in concept in my humble opinion. Doesn't diminish the fact that Britain should have kept the heck out though.

Dear Gaudin. You can not come with weapons to a foreign country and learn how to live. German soldiers in Russia also gave the children candy and toys but were occupiers.

You missed my point completely, my friend.
I am saying too many children died for nothing, too many Afgani /Iraqi adults died for nothing, too many 18-24 year old British soldiers who have done jackshit in life died for nothing.

And - countless scores of Russian lads died for nothing few years earlier, some no doubt in the situation similar to what you have just depicted

The boy in your model ( if we are to assume things then developed like in real life) didn't live long after what he is about to do.

I just find the whole thing quite sad - and I am not a preacher type. What I will congratulate you upon - is the fact that you managed to create a work with so many layers of meaning ( or may be its just me looking into it too much)

One soldier who returned from Iraq told me that they (soldiers) quickly learned not to give anything to children after few incidents when they gave some candy to some kids and next day saw them hanged on the tree on the same street.

PS. I am sorry, it looks like I highjacked your thread

i won't get into the subjet of the figures, but the rucksack doesn't look right, it looks a bit on the big side for a day sack,

Very fine Igor , i like so much this figure group...do yyou ll realize other modern british figure to add to this scene?

PS: WHY YOU DONT REALIZE A GROUP of us figures in vietnam in dynamic poses like you did with your israelian figures? If you need pictures of us gi in viet nam i could send you a big number......!!!!
I hope.....:D:D:D!!!

Mario from Italy.

The British Army uses the backpacks of various sizes and types. This is intended for long-distance navigation. Carrying large ammunition.

Mario. Please send pictures to my mail. I am interested in the theme of war in Vietnam.

yes i agree with you,but i have the pack shown in the photo, its called a ni patrol sack and i think it is thinner than how you have modeled it.

Gaudin,
I do not see how hanging children for accepting candy can be considered "nothing". At least the "nothing" that many soldiers have died trying to stop that type of brutality. When good people do nothing, evil will flourish. Just like when nobody did anything to stop hitler for years until it was too late. If everyone else had that type of view than I guess the allies that died liberating Europe during WW2 died for "nothing" as well. Just my opinion.

gogs007. Thank you. Adjust. Robert Dominique. It is disappointing that this great country France Germany United Kingdom have become slaves to the United States. All these countries have become the real evil empire, supporting U.S. aggression.

Robert,

Because you so clearly missed the point of what I wrote, I struggle even to begin to conceive how to reply concisely to this statement of yours. I suggest you go back and read carefully whats been said previously before making half cooked generalized statements about defending good vs evil.

The key I suppose is to take each post in its own merit and not to mix it all together.

Once you, hopefully, reconsidered your response to what I actually said, we can discuss the rest point per point if you wish.

Igor

"It is disappointing that this great country France Germany United Kingdom have become slaves to the United States"

Temptation is to say "whats the evidence?"
UK - yes, definitely, very disappointing..
I am not aware that France and Germany ever supported both wars and ever sent their troops in. Let someone correct me if I am misinformed but lets also operate with facts if we can.
