I am very tempted to re-do the windsock in the future, if I can find a nice, close weave finger from a glove(silk?).Another option would be multiple coats of paint to obliterate the large weave pattern. Why am I concerned about this?Because once the dio is in its case ,the position of the windsock on top of the roof invites very close-up inspection indeed, and besides a large weave pattern like this would not be very efficient at holding any air.
Anyway, this gives you guys an idea about how I made it in cotton and a new silk one would be about the same procedure.
The brass pole will be painted in red and white barber strips for pilot visibility.

The pic above and the following few pics are taken from angles that will be lost to me forever once the engine room roof is put on permanently, probably beginning tomorrow.I don't plan to put any figures in this area ,although there will be a mechanic on the floor of the hangar removing instruments from the cockpit of the basket case Jenny. All of the modules are removable in case I change my mind.

Ideas please!
I am looking for a way to secure the airplane to the hangar floor. The Albatros and Nieuport were secured with the tail up in flying position and through the main gear and wing tip saw horses.
This time I would like to secure the Jenny with the tail skid resting on the hangar floor.
On the Albatros I used a screw with the head cut off ,attached it to the wheel and then down through the floor and
secured it with a ordinary nut and washer. The Jenny's open spoked wheel makes this arrangement difficult.I thought of putting a jack under the axle and the skid on a tow bar.I have also thought of added support under the wing tips but only as a last resort as this tends to take away the beauty of the wings.
Any other suggestions would be welcome.Note:the landing and flying wires will be left slack until the aircraft is resting in its final position ,as even the slightest movement tends to distorts them!

Engine room fixtures!
I have repaired the broken light fixtures in the engine shop and added a new one on the loading ramp. There is still some work to be done on the roof and rafters but the shop itself is just about finished.I may add a figure in the future to give the scene a little more life.
