Greetings,
Acmodels would also like to announce their second November release depicting a Mideast Technical crew.
The set of five figures plus stowage and flag are compatable for Mengs Pickup with ZPU-1AA weapon.
ACM35027 Mideast technical is cast in grey resin.

Great work Andy, I like how you do groups of figures that fit together so well
Nice one!!

Another great 'set piece' by Andy though the title "Mideast Techical Crew" is a bit confusing. Is it some PC term to avoid identifying a Middle East terrorist group (take your pick!) by their actual name?

Gary

Hi Andy, Hope you are keeping well and thanks for the clarity. I might just pick a set of these up off Steve Kirtley.
Regards.
Gary

I'm just waiting for someone to dare paint them up as ISIS (complete with black flag), then sit back and watch the carnage unfold on the forums as the "keyboard warriors" go into battle ....

Nice set Andy.

Does anyone make a 1/35 Hellfire or JDAM to go in the background?

Hay Andy, where are these on sale, please? If you're selling them, how much for the set, please?

Kylie.

Well quite Steve.... as one should only paint "good" terror or regional militia groups and not "bad" ones eh!

A brave decision by Andy to venture into this arena for the very reason you identify but I think the painting potential and above all something "different" as a subject here is tremendous.

A great set Andy. As for the subject.....Isis V SS, are there degrees of acceptable subjects, and who decides. Its all very subjective. Happy modelling.

"I'm not going to paint that because I find it offensive" = absolutely fine, and I will 100% respect your personal decision not to paint it

"You shouldn't paint that because I find it offensive" = f**k right off

I think that as figure painters & modellers, all of us have an interest to a greater or lesser degree in history. And history is full of nasty people who did some terrible things. The Third Reich being an obvious and comparatively recent (i.e. still within living memory of the older generation) example. Personally I have no issue with painting something like an SS machine gunner or tanker, a Messerschmitt fighter or a Tiger tank. I think it's a massive stretch to equate doing so with somehow "condoning Nazi atrocities", and I will argue until the cows c0me home with anyone claiming that's what I'm doing. But if another guy is uncomfortable with having such things on their own bench, that's entirely a matter for them.

The only kind of subjects that don't sit right with me at all are those fantasy or "girlie" ones that depict sexualised violence (of which one was posted up the News section only recently). I'd have to question the mindset of anyone finding that an interesting or appealing subject to paint.
