Hi all,

I posted a portfolio of my most recent work over on MedRom here:
http://forums.delphiforums.com/medrenfig/messages?msg=2883.1

This all tends to be Medieval & Roman related subjects strangely enough ;-)

However I do have a latent passion for the West especially as depicted by Roger Saunders of Hornet fame.

Those shown here were painted some years back but thought I'd share with you here as many may not be aware of them.
Many folk don't seem to interested in these 1/32nd figures nowadays, favouring more 'exciting' depictions, though Roger always does strive for authenticity and IMHO really captures it in his "Wild West" range so I'd recommend checking them out if you haven't before.
They have real potential.

Kind regards,

Mike

Mike , great painting, I'm not familiar with these pieces, the 1st two are I think Annie Oakley and Buffalo Bill then I'm guessing Billy the kid and the last one I haven't a clue, please enlighten.
Thanks for posting

Cheers Ken

Nice work matey........its healthy to venture out to new pasrures from time to time even if your feet drag you back to your natural dwelling :)

Keep safe and make that trip to whatever show John is referring to as its healthier even more.........

Classics!

Nice job Mike,

I've owned several of these pieces over the years. I wish the line would be expanded. My fav was the Bat Masterson. A real gem. I've always wanted the Annie Oakley. But she needs the rifle she's famous for – the Marlin 22 lever action.

Costas, Jay, Mark, Guy, Marcel, John(US) : Thanks guys really appreciate your kind comments, my intention here was to show case Roger's figures. I'd seen a comment from him on his website that most people missed the figures he had done, opting more for his headsets. IMHO that's an injustice :)

Steve: I've been around here a bit mate, never setup up an official vBench blog though, so just got Tommi to do that for me, you'll find it here:

Dave: You'll find the full range available on Roger's site, all at a very reasonable price, especially compared with kits of today.

Ric: Yeah, the 'Judge' was indeed a character, I love this one of Roger's showing him in all his portly glory.

John(NZ) & Ray: You never know guys, I may just make my first NZ figure show though doubt I would bring these little chaps as they are some of my oldest figures and I prefer the work I have done on some of my newer ones. Also they not based up properly, they sit in a small, special case with narrow shelves with my other 'beginners' on their little oval bases totally 'out of the box' as Roger originally sculpted them.

Shane: "My fav was the Bat Masterson." Yep one of mine to, I have him painted up and will see if I have some photos to share here for you later.

Kind regards to all,

Mike
