Great scene and really great painting, love the texture on the clothing, looks rough and woven wool. The little added details like the apple and bolt are perfect
Ben

Good to see you picked up the texture from the photo Ben. Tried hard to get that sense of heavy woollen surface on tunic. Sorry haven't added a bolt, there is a small stack of sticks on the ground as they are supposed to be in a small orchard. Are you going to Brisbane show?

Thanks for your comments.

All together now . . . . AAAAAH! :)

Seriously - a great paint job. And you recognise the Andrea style in the sculpt there definitely

That's nice mate, felt myself sighing there too :D

Yep Andrea has really maxed out the emotional skill on this one.

Ta for comments Dave!

Excellent painting Mike, love the texture on the clothing and also the apple !!!! Very well thought out.
I have one of these figure sets on my for sale list, the guy who wants it sold asks 40 euros, saying that he paid 45 euros at the World Expo for this" limited edition" although it is still available.I offered it to a Planet Figure member who pointed out that 40 euros is more than the price on the world expo website......Wierd !!!!! Wouldnt this make you mad ???
Regards
Pete

Hi Mike, would love to get back to the Queensland show but cant this year, there is a lot of interest there from the figure guys so I think it will be a good show. I am trying desperatly to get something done for the West Australia show that is held 1x week after Queensland. Have a great time there and say hi to everyone for me

Hi Mike, fantastic work mate, I would also like to see it with a neutral background as I feel the current background detracts from some seriously f#!*^# great work!
Cheers Les

Good to hear from you Les & you'll have a chance to see what you think without my 'brainscan' backing in a couple of months all going to plan :) Man I liked that look of that swirling background, too, used it before & no one said anything but seems I got it wrong :) will have to try again.

Thanks for the honest feedback mate!

Stay safe,

Mike
