Copper State Models - 1/32 Sculpted by Andrei Bleskin.

Thought I'd share a high quality Work in Progress shot of this latest fellow.
Experimenting with new texture technique for scarf - took ages to do individual ribs.
Still to shade & highlight. Thoughts & questions?

Maybe it’s only the stage of progress, or your extra work on the scarf, but somehow I am only seeing the scarf..it’s become the focus..as though the shadows on it want to be more shadowy..the shadows on the face are really dark..but the whole scarf seems more lighted..of course it’s wrapped and should stand out but is it too much? Just a thought trying to reply to your ask for ideas..

Grasshopper- thanks for comment.
Scarf is important part of this sculpt as he's all rugged up for North Sea flight.
I've only painted ribbing, not between ribs, no shadows or tones.
Expect as collar & rest of body is painted it should fade into background a bit.
As it's an experiment wanted to get others perspective.

that leather on his cap is impressive. Marc
Thanks for noticing Marc - maybe too subtle for my own good on that but did spend quite a bit of time on it.
Hi Mike looking really good.
Take care not overdo the shadows on te scarf. I for one like tone and conrast, it's interesting andi neatly 'beds' the head into the body. Cheers, Derek
Really appreciate advice Derek. Can see in photos & real Figure how the shadows on this natural fall so will be wary of getting to heavy with them, instead use natural effect as you say.
Incredible! That's the only word that comes to mind.
I like it a lot!
That's looking very good so far. The face is incredible. Cheers, Andrew
Ometz, Steve, Alexandre & Andrew - thanks for support guys.
Unlikely to share another photo of this fellow until he's done so good to hear heading in right direction.

Impressive work on the scarf. your leather work always impresses me.
Thanks Michael for commenting - very early day on this little guy mate:)
Let's see if I can bring it home effectively without any part overcoming the others.

Thanks Neil, appreciate advice on "being bold" - gave it a go. Will be interested to see what you think.
Hard to believe it's 54mm! I love the way you treat skin and textures.
Andy
Yep he's tiny & lots of fun to paint Andy. Starting to prepare for our next project together now to - shaving brush at the ready :)
