Hi, guys!

It's been a long time since I posted here, so let's begin this year with a new project.

I believe this is a 120mm Mili-Men resin figure of a SS-officer, or like some would say - just another SS guy with a MP40.

The figure was mainly painted with acrylics and some oil washes. Customization of the figure is done by adding Tamiya goggles with strap made of scotch tape, Dragon gas mask canister with strap made from (again) scotch tape and scratch-built buckles made from sprue. Also, I added the MP40 strap with buckles and hobnails on the boot sole.

The ground was made with AK interactive Turned ground acrylic paste, subsequently painted with various oil washes and sparingly sprinkled with AK snow. Jerrycan is from Tamiya and road signs are from Verlinden set.

Hope you'll like it and feel free to eviscerate it with your comments.

Cheers!

Not a figure I've ever seen before. His face and helmet look a bit strange (to my eye anyway) but I suspect that's down to the sculpt rather than your painting. The only things I'd say are that the green dots on the pea-dot scheme look a bit too turquoisy-blue, and the whole thing has a bit of a gloss sheen to it. The muddy ground is very well done. Looks real.

Face is a bit on the cartoonish side, together with the helmet and stubby fingers, but nevertheless, the sculpt is fine and I enjoyed painting it (not that my painting improved anything).
The green spots on the parka are not that bluish-green in the flesh, it's probably my phone camera playing tricks, as usual. Thanks for your comment.

Yeah that can happen. The camera can be unforgiving and unflattering at times. Thanks for the share. (y)

Steve, It's an old Mili-Men release...lately available through The Lost Battalion.

Every day's a school day! Thanks for that. Lost Battalion is one of those companies that I always forget about. Wasn't Mili-Men Stu Hale's gig before he became Stormtroopers?

It's not a bad figure to be fair, although if I were to take it on I'd probably swap out the head for a better one.
