I just restarted my digital subscription after sampling the last couple of months. I like the new approach, I prefer a general modelling magazine to a more specialised one anyway. MM was getting a bit stale when it concentrated on tanks and trucks to the detriment of everything else in the "military" field but now there is a bit more variety it has become an enjoyable read again.

You can pick up many hints and tips from other modelling genres (even aircraft modellers ;))and I just like looking at a nicely built and finished model no matter what it is. It is one of my 2 favourite magazines at the minute (along with the Airfix mag).

I renewed my subscription on exactly the same basis. I think it-s much improved. I just wish Figuries would restart as it improved my French and I really enjoyed that one too as it had a great blend of news, shows, modelling features and uniform articles.

Cheers

I look at modelling articles on tanks/armour,and with all the aftermarket items available, its possible to produce a very accurate kit,but I would like to see articles aimed at the younger modeller buying his basic kit, building tips, and how to finish it,so that without having to buy all the extras, he will be able to take pride in the finished product and not feel inferior in any way by not having a large budget to produce a great model.

I have to agree as well.
(He makes me).

Martin....if you are looking.....?
A READERS MODELS PICTURES PAGE please
interesting content...costs the magazine nothing

Hi Peedee

This has already been mentioned to Martyn and he is all for it, but at present he has been limited to so many pages he can have per issue, which is beyond his control at present.
At the moment he is concentration on getting as many articles in as possible. As soon as he is allowed to increase the size of the mag, that page will be back.
I remember how chuffed I was when I had a photo published.
The big man at the top, whom we never see, has to be convinced and shown, that there's a demand for the magazine.

Hi Huw - we have been following and corresponding with the new publishers at Sophia Histoire et Collection and hopefully Figurines should be back on track in Oct/Nov. Fingers crossed all goes well as it's a good publishing house all round. Cheers, Celine.

Thanks for that great news.

I hope they'll honour my outstanding two issues in my subscription but just being able to get it again will be wonderful. I also hope that they'll publish volume 3 of the dragoons officers and soldiers series.

I'm going to retire a happy man tonight

Cheers
