I have to agree with the above comments. I gave up on the magazine a couple years ago. There just wasn't enough of interest anymore to warrant the high cost of the magazine. It's too bad. I used to love the Euro special and the figure special.

perhaps the people who produce the magazine could listen to what the readers want, and no t a catalogue for the latest dragon or tamiya kit, i would like to see smaller articles with more variety of kits/accessories by smaller producers. also perhaps a feedback section to listen to what people want. i know they do their best and its easy to criticise but obviously going by the comments from others, its about time something was done to get this magazine back to the top where it belongs/ badger

I did email the editor at MM about how poor the magazine had become about 2 years ago , basicly he told me to piss of and would'nt waste his time replying to people who nolonger bought the mag . Do they listen NO THEY DO NOT .

Another self-fulfilling prophecy then.

One thing I came to think about is that many of the articles in the magazines, not only Military Modelling, you have seen them in progress on the internet, you more or less know the modeller, you have a direct conversation with the modeller during the build and sometimes even input that contributes to it.

Why would I then buy an article about it?

No, I don't buy the magazine or subscribe but like everything else, it's down to personal choice. For me there's just not enough of interest in it to make it worthwhile.
That said, I do enjoy the MM forum. :)
Whatever the subject I can appreciate the skill of the modeller and the finished model but I don't want to wade through pages of adverts only to find a review of yet another DML or Tamiya release, which is usually a WW2 German AFV or something from the Gulf War.

I still look under the covers of MM in my local WH Smith, but of late have found it dull, badly laid out and less relevant than in the past. It has lost its way.:(

I was deeply disappointed with the quality of the photos in the last Euro Militaire Special.

Used to buy it regularly. From my brother handing them on to me we had every copy from 1974 down to when I moved to the USA in the mid-90s. I then had an international subscription but found less and less to interest me. Haven't seen one for a few years now. I'm even less inclined now I hear they're including ships and planes. I couldn't see them running a huge series like the one they did in the early 90s on Foot Guards uniforms. I saved all those - a fantastic reference. But we won't see that again I think.
