Hi Guys,

Finally done with this small conversion!
I had lots of troubles during the painting and painted some parts a different colour up to five times. After so many layers, things started to get glssy, so had to use some matt varnish to save it. So I've quite had it with this one!

Well, glad it's done and here are the pics!
I tried some different background colours for the pictures this time.

Cheers,
Adrian

Hi Adrian!

Wonderful job all around.
Love the yellow and the weapon woodgrain.

Pedro.

Thanks for taking a look and leaving a comment guys.

@Ken: Thanks, glad you like the presentation.

@Pedro: Thanks. The yellow should have been a bit more ocre, but turned out more like a dirty yellow. In the end I thought it fitted the figure and left it.

@Maurizio: Thank you os much for your flattering comment! Glad you like it.

@Eduardo: Thank you too. You have a very keen eye for details. The lines on the socks are very hard to see. Thanks.

Cheers,
Adrian

@Carl: Thanks Carl! :)

@Marc: Hi Marc, I think every figure painter knows the feeling! And still we keep doing it...

@Jim: Thanks a lot Jim. And it's not even a Roman!;)

@Martin: Thank you Martin, for your compliments.:)

Thanks for commenting and 'liking' guys. Much appreciated!(y)

Cheers,
Adrian

Hello Mike
I liked this very much . Very good painting . Perfect rendering of the wood on the rifle .
Did you makes the leaves yourself ?
Best

Hi Mike, Sorry For my late response! I somehow missed your reply. Anyway: Thanks, and I'm glad I'm not the only one with figure blues...

Hi Michel, Thanks for your nice remarks. The leaves are from Plusmodel. I find them one of the nicest accessories for groundwork I know and I use them on almost any figure. They are sold in small boxes but they tend to last a long time. This particular base, which used a lot of maple leaves took only about a quarter of the leaves in one package. I warmly recommend them.

Hi Allan, Thanks for your nice comment!

Hi Adrian, well worth the time, effort, and heartache you put into this one, great result in both painting and presentation. The woodgrain on the Rifle and mud splashes on the clothing gives a real sense of realism.
Keep them coming,

Keith

Hello Adrian, great to see this work!! Did the Fernando workshop help you to improve this or did it change some in how you work wright now?

Adrian, what a great work you've done with this figure.
The vest loos so real, love the colors and lights/shadows,very sublte and yet eyecatching.
The groundworks is out of this worl, well executed and add great complement to the figure.
Keep up the great work.
Cheers
