Hi folks just a quick couple of pics of my latest WIP..face just about done....top half blocked in
and first yellow oils started.....its a cracking figure by Mr Reid..... From Mitches Military Minatures..will keep you posted on progress...thanks for looking.....all the best Mike

Great start with super face Mike. I'm working on this one too; just cleaning him up and getting ready for primer coat. I like your yellows so far. Which yellows are you using for base and shading? I also agree that this one is a real cracker from the talented Mr Reid and MMM.

Hi Jon thanks for your comments,...the yellow is a base of any mid yellow, then a wash of mars yellow oil, allow to dry then high lite with a yellow oil mixed from mars yellow,perm yellow and white to achieve a washed out/faded yellow..its important to let the previous oils to dry. The deepest shadow and outline is burnt umber oil...its really what is pleasing to your eye...
