However, 2kg and 70 quid! is a tad expensive. .. .. If I was doing Ralph's, Titanic'. then possibly.

Austerity, does bite one's nuts. :D

'Clear Gesso', ? What's that then? ... Never heard of it. Is it single stage or a mixed ratio!

I would be interested in your forthcoming 'Pic's'. (y)

That's the same product as the tube pic I posted . I think it goes under a few names.

Here is what it looks like straight out of the tube . More to follow this should dry clear.

I made a few different thicknesses to see difference in drying times. and I m no expert but have been told you can tint the paste with acrylic paint.there is someone that can give us techniques somwhere. Sorry not sure about the self leveling. I do know they sell it in various thickness . This is the student version

Just a quick pic of the product drying. Has been drying about 5 hours give or take .so far so good . Might have to do some serious playing around with this

You can see on the thinner smears its drying fine. If you can layer it on it will also give you the ripple effect.
Thanks
See update in a few hours?

Sorry no pics yet . The thin application dried very clear .I was able to peel it the foam no problem . The thicker piles have know become a light white still must be drying? I have found some info on armor sites and have been told applied thin they are awesome puddles if you want thicker waves build up in layers . I'm going to continue to play.

I will be posting a few more pics I hope to do this tomorrow if my back let's me Lol.

OK don't understand ? First time I have had to make it back upstairs it appears that it dried to a milky white color . Could be to thick? I am gonna keep playing and post results.

It looked good to start with on the thinner smears. Maybe it was to thick???. Keep playing, it all comes to them that wait. Or so the say.(y)

Hmm, this stuff (from a tube), looks like it is used for very thin top coating on a pre-painted flat surface. Using a flat edged spatula. Clearly (or not in this case)! .. It is not for depth.

Interesting though!
