Mold-making & Casting

Would anybody be willing to do a detailed SBS online on mold-making and casting? Personally, I'd really like to see a complete A - Z with lots of photos. I read the article in FineScale Modeler and one or two online short articles on various web sites. They answered some questions and raised others.

Anybody else interested in this?

Thanks, Gary! Now THAT's the level of detail I needed and couldn't get in the other How-Tos! The Alumite.com site seems to have a lot of basic info that I've been looking for.


I have an idea for a four figure 90mm diorama - an Austrian Landeschuetzen and officer and two Italian Alpini [WWI] on a mountain trail. Obviously I want to ensure that the equipment and weapons of the figures is the same, etc., and this is the only way. From what I can tell it's the same general process described in the How To Guide to Mold Making. Any other suggestions from you or anyone else would be welcome!

ps - I'm a 'planner' by nature. I probably won't even start this for another 4 or 5 months, so plenty of prep time.
