A Fixture
Hi
Here is my second version of Bustorys Momgol Bust. I have never painted the same bust twice but made an exception for this excellent sculpt. The first I posted here in December which was a commission, I bought one for myself also. I learnt quite a bit from the first one and tried to apply it here. The only part I didn’t really like about the sculpt is the arrows, they are too heavy. I scratchbuit replacements for this version from wire and lead sheet. I have also promoted him to the Rank of “Tumen” commander of 10,000, hence his patterned tunic, engraved bracers and more decorative armour. I know this kit has come in for some criticism just recently regarding the accuracy of it’s arms and armour, but it is a lovely piece to paint and I’m sure it’s no a million miles away in terms of accuracy. Just need to get a plate from Name it, but as I wanted to enter him into this months FOTM I ran out of time.
Cheers
Neil
