This is nicely presented and finished Paulo.
This has given me new perspective on this simple, standup figure.

Fantastic work Paulo! Love it
I presented this figure as a Sergeant with medal ribbons as in 1914 98% of the Princess Patricia's Light Infantry were ex British armed forces. Indeed, they were so well trained they were the first Canadian infantry to be sent in-theatre and leap-frogged many British regiments.
As a Sergeant he would be what was referred to in the British army as 'an old India', ie a regular soldier with many years of service (often in India, hence the term).
Paulo, might help,if people understood why monochrome painting is useful exercise..to me it is exercise in light and shadow..it’s not strictly monochromatic as shades of grey, but it’s akin to how old masters started their works.being limited in bright hues, they worked with muted tones then a few hits of the white to bring things up..anyway..might help to show more process and rationale..
