This book was kindly sent to me by Marco of Best Soldiers for review. The book covers the 2009 Monte San Savino Show 2009. The book is designed is by Luca Baldino and Simone Peruzzie.
The introduction of the book is in three languages Italian, English & French. The introduction covers three pages per language. The reading is interesting with text emphasising the build up to the show and the socialising and meeting of friends old and new. The show is one of the most important shows in Italy and one of the aims was to bridge the gap between historical and fantasy. This may sound familiar to any of you that have ever attended any major worldwide shows.
The book is split into class sections including standard, standard open, standard fantasy, master painting, master open etc. Each section is accompanied by some high quality photos of the exhibits with the names and results of the winners.
There are pages dedicated to the judges of the show and pages of their own work. Most of the judges are well known to most of us in the figure modelling world. The main sponsor of the show is Pegaso Models.
Other pages include a photo section of some of the winners receiving their awards, junior photo section and the social events of the evening.
The book is A4 paperback with 120 pages most of which have several high quality photos of the exhibits. Highly recommend and a fine addition to your book collection.
