This is my latest project. An American West Mountain Man from 1840, his horse and a pack animal, in this case a donkey. After my previous Crazy Horse vignette mixing Andrea and Masterbox kit pieces, I decided to continue that approach going a little farther.

The Mountain Man is a straight out of the box Andrea 54mm metal figure. His horse is a 1/35th scale modified masterbox kit piece and the donkey is modified from an old 54mm plastic Historex kit. All modifications were done with Greenstuff putty and various pieces from my spares box.

The base was made with a carved foam filler underlay covered with Magic Sculpt putty and detailed with pieces of slate rock, pebbles, sand, twigs and commercial grasses.

Finally, Everything was painted with acrylics.

This was a fun project and thanks for checking it out.

Cheers,
Ken

Very nice Ken, you've captured some good atmosphere with the composition and painting, great work on the horse and donkey. Visually it is rather stunning.
