This is a Romeo Models 54mm Mountain Man figure. Painted in acrylics.
I attended a groundwork workshop at the last Atlanta show given by John Long. The groundwork for this figure was completed in the 1 1/2 day workshop. I think it came out very nice. I think I have problems uploading the thumbnails.

Pete, happy to see your finished piece. The Mountain Man was a good choice for your setting, looks great. Congrats on finishing out the project. What a learning class it was!
Mike

Mike, it was a super class. John taught us a lot of good things on how to make groundwork. I am going to make another one soon and SBS it here. Mountainmen, French trappers, Indians, FIW war figures...there's lots of good figures that will work well in a setting like this.

Hi Rod!

Hope all is well with you sir?
Lovely work and outstanding presentation. The groundwork is very realistic.

Cheers,
Pedro.

Pete,
Finished my 54mm yesterday and mounted it to the base. Will post when I get photos. Wonder how many of of the people that took the class have finished the piece? I bought all the supply's I could find and have a ground work scene going on elephant I am painting. The ground work part has become great fun now that I have an idea how to create it.
Mike

The groundwork gives your figure a great sense of place and scale,
Well done mate.
