Like Marc this one slipped by me. What a great piece and you are doing a cracking job on a complex figure.
The background material is tremendous. I've cut and pasted it into a reference folder.(y)

I've actually just realised why I missed it. I'd read it as Girls not Gris and assumed it was one of the 'Pegaso Girls' type things. Not of any interest to me......much prefer the real thing ;)

Hey Daniel, I too lost this one for a day or two
In catching up I see you have done some fantastic work so far. The face is excellent, particularly the eyes. I like the blue of the surcoat (?), there's alot of lace to work on... will you be applying washes as you layer up highlights?

How is it jumping from 30's to 60's to a 120mm? The techniques for each scale are so different o_O

Look forward to this as it developes

Colin

I started the lace on the Subreveste ( and i think your translation to english is right) with gunmetal grey, i will apply blach wash to it and then re-touch with pure silver the more prominent areas, it's going to be a hell of a work but gotta do it right.
As from scale to scale transition, i try to keep more less the same line, obviously with bigger scales i cannot be as "extreme" as the little 40mm smurfs, but i notice that in bigger size figures requires a little bit more blending to create a smooth and credible appearence .
Will see how it goes with this big guy.
Thanks again for your comments and advice, always great to have you here mate.
Cheers

Hello folks, i have made very little progress on this Mousquetaire, it's been a crazy week at work but manage to have some time to finish the face, finished the lace with some minor touches to be completed 100%.
I will work on the hat next, add the arms and start working on the pistol, sword and red areas of the cloth.
Regards

WOW, Love the painting and colors.
What gold are you using and what brand is it. I love this one.
Used several brands of gold, but this one is stunning.

Hi Daniel!

I've been missing some progress... I'm catching up now ;)
You are doing fine ;) Looks a very good!!
Those Prussian blues are a nightmare... I know... one need to be very careful using them...Tip: keep the painting always
very well mixed and use a flat medium, it will keep it as it should.
Anyway, Keep on the good work!

Regards
Pedro

Carrying on very nicely, my friend... Let's see some more!
The blue and the silver lace look awesome! You seem to have figured out the skin tones at this scale.

Cheers

Colin

Thanks Colin, I am happy with the blue, I still keep touching up once in a while and gotta stop myself from doing it or I will mess it up.
The fleshtones came up really good in my humble opinion, the problem is that you really can't tell judging by the pics, I wish I knew how to take better shots.
Thanks for your cheering words :)
