I did this after reading a book about the Battle for Berlin,the book mention how the city was covered with grey ash and how the party officials in their golden party coats stood out in the rubble

the figure is an. Old Hornet I believe,

very minor correction: neighborhood translates in German to " Nachbarschaft" - which in German again has a more personal meaning focussing on the neighbours living next to his place. If you say "Herr Vogels Viertel" (Stadtteil or Stadtviertel = urban district) it relates more to the surrounding houses and buildings that have changed remarkably for Herrn Vogel in those days...
