Dear Planeteers,

I hope you are all save at home. Stay healthy and carry on.

One bust, two faces – this sounds like a good deal. I had to have it. The old lady and the little baby make an odd couple. For me, they did not look at all like a nice grandmother with her happy little grandchild. Actually, the do not like as they belong to each other at all. I wanted to stress this by choosing two distinctive different skin tones, a rosy bright one for the baby and a darker tone with a lot of green for the old lady. To further push the difference between them, I used warm colors for the baby and cold colors for grandma. This, however, caused some problems concerning the overall color scheme. Actually, it was pretty difficult to find a color scheme that ties everything together. For whatever reason I knew from the beginning that I wanted to paint the lady blind. I hope that adds some visual interest and makes the bust even creepier.:)

Overall, this bust was a challenge, but if you are interested in painting something different, this one is for you.

Hope you like it. Happy Eastern!

Hi Sven

Good to see you posting and what a really impressive finish , the different flesh tones work really well

The purple is quite striking as well , the baby's face is great and for me the old lady is scary with the eyes
