I finally finished.
First I would like to thank some people:
primarily those who gave me the opportunity to paint this wonderful sculpture, I hope that the wait has been rewarded
Thanks go to Richard Cerilli who carved this wonder that I smeared
and finally, last but not least, David Chiarabella that with his lessons allowed me to paint the horse

here are the pictures
Comments and critiques are always welcome

Absolutely beautiful paint job!!!
I'm especially impressed by the work on the horse. Was it done in oils? I have a horse on the bench that must be a dapple grey... any hints on how you approached the horse?

Again, wonderful work

Colin

I painted the horse with oil paint on an acrylic base made up of white, British uniform and ocher
Then I used the following oil colors: burnt umber, raw umber, yellow ocher, flesh and white
