Thanks Paul!

Haven't painted for the past several days as its just too hot in the study:eek: . We have had several 100+ degree temps here and both of my portable fans have given up the ghost!

After finding pics of Brit WW1 issue gas masks on the internet, I decided to do a little modification. A little scraping, filing, drilling, some lead sheet, bit of sprue, wire and putty, and ended up like this.

That is quite superb. Interesting that the club in his right hand is very similar to the mace I did for my XIIth century knight. It just shows that when fighting gets up close and personal, the weapons available often revert to the very basic.

Hi Guys

Kev#3,
Sorry about that...hate starting over...
Thanks again,
Kev#1

No problem ..these things happen !! ....he said gritting his teeth..lol

Verbal update on The "I'll be home soon son"

He now has a helmet ( chinstrap added ) fitted onto the back pack

As well as a wedding ring !

The boy has socks that are coming down !

Still to do the catapult in his pocket ...boys will be boys !!

Currently also adding a hat similar to this

image.jpeg ( No this is not my mate Jimbo )

Waiting patiently for the putty to go off and position t he brim right ...then sand and add crown and fit to back of head .

The sailor suit will be white with blue details

Thanks for looking in

Nap

Kev#3,
You dont do anything by halves, do you?
Kev#1

Of course Kev#1 ...it's a great thing to be involved in ...hope to post pics once I have the cap and the catapult right then...away we go again ....going to have to put a brass rod in on a base so I can hold safely !

How's yours going

Nap

PS might start a crowd funding to pay for the flight..........

Slowly...daughter home from Africa so tomorrow its the 450 mile drive to see her. Going to LFC Man City game in New York City on Wed. Good friend Nick Dransfield and family arrive a week from today so that should be fun. Then its balls to the wall and drive on till the opening.

Bit of a poor piccy update on the rework

Reworked and eyebrows on both heads

Helmet now in place

Catapult now in the lads pocket ...took 6 attempts !! All will become clearer when painted ..doesn't really show well in PC...but it's there !

Socks on legs ......

Put cap onto the lads head ..quite pleased with that ...will paint the textures on it

Cue pics
