Hi Guys
My dad had been away visiting my brother and on his return he found out by letter that he is to be awarded the French medal National Order of the Chevalier Legion of Honour , he is thrilled to bits and has come as a wonderful culmination to this very special year of the 70th Anniversary of D-Day and our visit together in June .
I am so very very proud of him , but he did say to quote " when i get the medal i will dedicate it to every young man that who's resting place are under the white cross's that cover the cemetery's of every nation of a still free Europe and we must remember that Freedom is not cheap " ...un quote .
Sums up that generation ,very way I feel good on you dad .
Cheers Chris
