My Display at Herzog von Bayern 2014

Hi all, here's my display from this years Duke of Bavaria show.
Can't recommend this show highly enough, great weather, great company, great beer and food ..... and ...... it coincides with one of Ingolstadts beer festivals

Wow - that's quite a stand! Full of beautifully painted classic pieces. Are the two gladiators the same scale as they make a wonderful pair in your display.

Thanks Mat. The gladiators both scale as 75mm. The Secutor is Pegaso and the Murmillo is Alexandros, both are a joy to paint and each has it's own challenges.
I chose to do the Secutor as if pre combat and the other as post combat.
Both are representative of the typical body type for their function in the arena.

Stupidly didn't take any useful photos of the Looter, Iwas still painting it a few hours before the flight to Germany. It's now moved on to its new home in Dubai.

Tell you what Roger, leaving the show and competition aside the beer festival was brilliant. We lunched everday in the foodmarket in glorious sunshine drinking Wiessbier at £1.60 a pint you'd love it.
