My next figure will be a 1/35 Rommel to pose with a Tamiya sd.kfz.250 3 "Grief" im gonna build in 3-4 months. Thanks again!:)

Very nice work.

However (and I'll probably get shouted down as a joyless old cynic for saying so), I'm having a hard time believing that these are first attempts.

Hi gentlemen,

Im new to planetfigure so i havent had a chance to get to know anyone and how to tell when someone is telling me they dont believe me about my figures or if there just having a bit of fun with me. so im not sure how to respond to that statement. i hope its all in fun.

These are indeed my 1st 2 figures ive done. it wasnt easy, i made mistakes, and had to ask alot of questions to my nephew but im surely not trying to BS anyone. im very proud of my figures and wanted to share them with all of you and after receiveing all the wonderful comments im even more proud.:)

i joined planetfigure because i want to improve, and meet people, when i saw the works here i literaly thought to myself HOLY S#*T these guy are amazing!:awesome: so in my opinion this is the place to be to learn and improve.

So i guess ill say this... Thank you Steve for the complement!:) and ive been called lots worse than a joyless old cynic!:lol::lol:

And thanks to everyone who has commented and taken a look. i do appreciate it!:)

I've being kicking a round for a while Gary, and
I can assure you it's meant in jest.
Your lucky to have a great talent, and or good instruction.

It was meant as a compliment Gary - for the most part.

I say that because on an armour forum I sometimes visit, a guy once posted up an absolutely stunning tank that he claimed was his "very first attempt". After a chorus of "no way"s he eventually admitted that he "may have had some previous practice runs" (or words to that effect). I also recall another guy somewhere (it might even have been on here, not sure) posting up a stunner of a figure and saying it was his "very first", but when pressed admitted he had a background in art.

Hence my natural slight cynicism when someone (anyone) posts up a beautiful piece of work claiming that it's their very first attempt. Though as you say, I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want to bullsh!t in such a manner, there's simply no need.

In any event, the figures are very nice irrespective of whether they're your first or your one hundred and first. So thanks for sharing, and don't be a stranger.

It's all in jest Gary, Steve's an armour modeller (as well as joyless and cynical old Git-but much younger than this cynical old git) so he will have been gob smacked at seeing the Jagpanzer. Your work will be a very welcome sight on Planet and we look forward to seeing the 3rd...4th.................keep them coming.

Keith

thanks Keith!:) i appreciate that. got a T-62 to build, then im gonna paint a 1/35th Rommel for a sd.kfz. 250 "Greif". ill post progress pics while im painting him.

Indeed Keith - my gob was suitably smacked, my gast was extremely flabbered and my awe was greatly inspired.

Thanks for the link Gary, looks fantastic. I've bookmarked it to peruse properly at leisure later on.

I've currently got 2 tanks all ready for the paint shop (plus a T-34 about half a dozen grab-handles away from being ready) but at the moment I'm on a roll with my Andrea 90mm Dacian War Roman legionnaire so am going to try and finish him first before I get too distracted by anything else.
