Good progress Mate,
Your prep for this piece looks good.
I'm lookiing forward to the next few steps.
How big is this beauty Mate?
All the very best,
Keith

Roger, If I read the last post's from flats on different fora, it seems that we cannot paint flats without using the Grissaille method of painting grey scales.
I wonder, is this a must, or can we just paint flats without the grey scale.

Marc

You can paint flats any way you like Marc. That is just one method, some like it and can do it, others not. Personally I don't see the point because you are going to paint over it anyway, however the results speak for themselves..... perhaps it's time I tried it but the results we see on the internet are by people who have mastered the technique not the failures.

Roger.

Hi Roger,
Great find and very inspirational.

I've had a bit more time on the brushes and here is today's update, slow progress but it's moving along.
cheers

Late to the party on this one, great painting so far Richie and if it turns out half as good as your dads then you're on a winner.(y)
See you at the Leeds xmas bash.
Cheers Ken

Hi Richie,
She's looking really good Mate, great progress.
Press on with the optivisor, I use the bottoms of two milk bottles
Cheers and best wishes
Keith

Only just seen this one mate and I am liking what you have done so far, your old man can sure push the oils around well, excellent looking painting by him, looks like you are a dab hand with the water colours as well (y)
Will be following and good to see you painting something again.
All the best
Steve
