The overhead lighting effect on the back of the cloak is much improved. You are definately on the right track, Marc.

After the sepia wash, you may find that you want to touch up the highlights on the armor. I think Enion mentioned adding a bit of silver printers inks to gold mix. :)

Marc, good work as far!! Love tne skin cape, maybe i think you could be put a few red tones in his face, very, very few...

Regards.

Alex.

Hello Alex,

I 'm surprised to see a grand master like you drop in, on this novice SBS. :)
I appreciate your comment, but have to say that the picture is not as the colours are in real live.
The trousers for instant is a beautifull red, not that strange orange color. Have to improve something with my settings on the digicam. Maybe the witebalance??

So the cheeks are something cadmium maroon, but is a little bit brownish on the picture.

But maybe something to improve?

Marc.

Hey Marc,

I'm sorry I let this sbs slip through. I love watching everybodies progress on these figures. I will pay attention and watch as you finish this figure. Keep up the good work and progress.

Oke, Guys

Another update from my work to the Celtic Chieftain.
Give a couple off washes to the helmet and cuirasses. Highlighted those twice, and made some highlights with pure gold and silver prinkers inkt.
Started and finished the blue color on the shirt.
First coat of the trouser is done. I think i have to redo this once.
The cloak is again at the top highlighted.
So tell me what you think

Marc.

The improvements you have made are good and I like the blue shirt The extra highlights on the fur cloak brought it out more and adds more detail. Keep those brushes wet (y)

Thanks Guy,

I am glad that you find the blue shirt good. It is a difficult color. I try to do the colours in shading and highlighting follow Einion Rees with highlighting and shading with complementaire colors.
For now it seems to be oke.
Thank for you comments.

Marc

Hey Marc, I like the way you painted the fur, maybe a few more highlights on the uppermost part of the shoulder, this area is more exposed to light.

keep up the good work.

Cheers

Roc :)

I have to say a last thing. The shield is more lightend up ad upperside after getting some comments on my club.
I darkened the light spots on the groundwork and make the handles of sword and knife ivory (GUY asked).

Marc.

I had not seen your finished model Mark, Wel done friend!!! I like very much!!!
and...What´s the next?

Alex.

Ps. I never like terms "novice" or "master" I think all are going in the same ship ;)

Luca,

You said it, not me. I got now a feather in my @#$ and walking like a peacock with his feathers up.
Thank you so very much.
Luca i have to much to learn in such a little time.
