Thanks all for the comments - I appreciate it !

Periklis - my acrylic undercoat for the battledress was "custom mixed" using roughly the same colours as I used for the oil basecoat colours. For the blouse I used a craft acrylic called "Turners' Yellow"(a sort of golden yellow) + Burnt Umber. For the trousers it was Turners' Yellow + Raw Umber. Varying the Umbers gave me a slightly different appearance to the 2 pieces of clothing, which still shows after the oils have been applied. Hope this helps !

Glenn - thanks; we Canucks could stand to show the flag a bit more, eh ? Canuck figures are rare, but fortunately (at least for WWII) there's plenty of British figures (like the Hornet MP) that are easy to convert. My next Canuck is a paratrooper of 1st. Cdn. Para Bde. on D-Day, using a Resicast Red Devil. All I really need to add is a strip of yellow cloth across the shoulder straps and voila he's Canadian.

Again, thanks all for the interest and comments !

Cheers,

Brian
