Did this halved 54mm figure as a bust ,just for a bit of fun.After i've taken pictures of a figure i nearly always have to correct and touch up certain bits as the camera and lighting shows up more than the human eye.

Brian indeed that's a great idea...and very well executed. I may try that sometime :)

hi brian. very nice and a good idea. i like the colour you have used for the tunic can you tell me what the mix is. well done dave.

Undercoated the tunic with humbrol 93.Oil mix of Mars red and Cad red and used Naples yellow to fade the colour.Highlights ,more Naples Yellow.Shading was done by adding Brown Madder.Once the tunic was dry i used stains,(or veils as i think the acrylic painters call it) of brown madder to enhance the shaded areas.

Maybe it's because the figure was a freebie that i cut him off in his prime,or more likely i was bored and wanted to do something different.
