This 54mm figure came into my possession via some odds and ends given to me by my middle brother. It was the only figure related item among modelling items my youngest brother had on his bench before he sadly had to give up modelling due to an inoperable brain tumour. He almost certainly sculpted it at some time and as it had been very nicely cast in WM I'm guessing it was his gift shot from the producer.
He was a prolific sculptor but not commercially aware, so a lot of what he produced didn't get much attention. He did stuff for Verlinden, Pegaso and others but this Napoleon is all I have of his work. I therefore thought it would be a nice gesture to paint it up to mark what would have been his 61st birthday on Jan 3rd.
If anyone recognises it and can say who produced it (if at all) I would be interested.

Napoleonic buffs, please forgive me if I have rendered this piece incorrectly:rolleyes:

Phil,, Great job on this little gem! I think that this one of the best interpretation's of The Emperor in the field. I got a casting from Bruno when he released it back in the early 90's. Painted it and then got another one recently. Love what you did with it from the groundwork to the greatcoat and white pantaloons. Looks just like the Emperor (y) ...Thanks for sharing your work!

Thanks Kev

He did work for various manufacturers. I know his 54mm Muslim Warrior for Pegaso is still catalogued. Also a 120mm Spanish Knight for Verlinden, long OOP. There was much other stuff plus a lot of large scale fantasy/garage kits for Comet Models and others. He also did a number of one-offs for collectors. I will consult with my other brother on what he can remember. I believe he has a couple of the one-offs which I will endeavour to photograph.

Excellent paint job. You do honor for your brother. I have one in my grey army and it is a beautiful sculpt.
