I have had a few request to do an article on the Native American Flesh that I do. Here id a photo of the bust in the beginning stages of the article. The base color has been "dry" brushed off leaving the Humbrol base coat showing through. I will have the Article up under "Back To Basics" - Native American - Tanned Flesh later this week.

Hey Guy!

Looking forward to see your article, always great to read new articles!

But you have to forgive my ignorance, that dude don't look like a Native American to me, but more like an asianish type of a fella. So wouldnt it be better to use an actual indian for the above topic?

Thanks Anders,
I believe that the Native Americans and the Mongol Peoples have the very same skin tones and variations. I used this bust because of that and being large where you could see more of the steps. I t is the same formula on this bust that I would use on a bust of a native American.

Several hours later, the bust is wet with oil paint and will now go into the dome with a 60w light bulb over it for the night. The skin tone will change somewhat after drying and also it will look totally different after colors are painted on to adjacent areas that are next to the flesh. This is the 22nd pic I have taken of the whole process and will post into workbench the next steps of the bust.
