I have a replica Navy Colt I was using to get the colours right on my version of Ken's ACW Guerrilla bust, but I am not sure on a couple of points I am assuming the screw in the middle of the butt is incorrect as it doesn't appear on any pic I can see, but there seems to be a lot of difference in the brass parts some look like the replica others have a lot less in the way of brass were there several types ? and if so which would be correct for a Confederate of that period at a pinch a Union would also go as it could easily be the sort of thing that would be looted etc. Any help appreciated

That is a 1860 Army Colt you have pictured above mate.
The original 1860 Colts were manufactured from steel frames, not brass, I would go for an all steel finish for ACW for either CSA or Union.
