Color references for the uniform and 'schulterklappen' or epaulettes, pickelhaube, etc. for Prussians first.

Schulterklappen - What a great word, huh!?

And now, for an alternative, how about an officer's uniform (parts of it) from Wurtemburg, not Prussia?

Enjoy!

All the best,

Hey Dan;

Which one of the "SCHULTERKLAPPEN" in the photos are the Prussian Infantry (ca. 1915?) I want to add some color to the uniform by way of the epaulettes, but want to make sure they are correct for the unit in 1915. Thanks! Tony

From those none, because they all all ones of enlisted men and Your figure is an officer.

For that I would take ones of a "Leutnant der Infanterie" (Second Lieutenant)...:

If You want, You can leave off the regimental number.

An Oberleutnant (First Lieutenant) had one star of each epaulette and a Hauptmann (Captain) two ones...

Pipings of the epaulettes were white (= intantry).

Cheers

This is EXACTLY what I needed Martin. Now to do this in 54mm with my 53 yr old eyes "Ich muss verrückt sein!"

Vielen Dank noch einmal mein Freund.

Tony
