This is not strictly sculpting but close. I have a 120 mm Robert the Bruce figure on horse and the lower leg of the horse’s foot is broken and gone. The good thing is the majority of the leg is hidden under cloth (forgot the right word) I was thinking of molding one of the other lower legs and using that as replacement. So my question is what is the easiest may to make a copy of a resin piece. I do have latex rubber so that maybe a start any help appreciated.

I'm not sure about your approach. Surely a cast made from the other leg will look noticeably different, won't it? I would try sculpting a replacement leg around armature wire attached firmly to the remainder of the horse's leg. I think you'd have a better result. If you don't know how to do this, contact me via e-mail and I'll try to talk you thru it.

All the best,
Dan

Ken, Just a quick note to let you know that I love the naval subjects you've done. I remember the Nelson sitting at the desk and the Buffs ensign that you did. Great stuff my friend.~Gary

Godfather,
its called a caparison ;)

If you can't get a replacement part, this might be a good opportunity to hone up on your sculpting skills. Drill a small hole into the "stump" and insert a wire. Let that be your armature for the repair. The rest can be done with Aves, Magic Sculpt, Miliput or A/B.
