Hi Planeteers
I have a project planned that involves Nemrod 54mm figures.
I have never used this maker before and wondered if anybody could comment on the quality of their figures The project involves about 5 or 6 figures
Any comments welcome guys
and I bow to your superior knowledge
Cheers

Normo,
I have several Nemrod WWII US figures in both their resin and plastic casts. 54M/M scale They are very good figures and the casts are clean and very well detailed. Nemrod is a branch of Historex.
Hope this will help some.
Cheers
John

John, I've used on of their Napoleonic figures and is was really good. Casting was very very crisp, detail was top notch. Their catalouge/box art leaves a lot to be desired and is poor in comparison to their figures. THey'd seel 10 times as many if a planeteer did them........

Look before you buy. I have set a few Napoleonics back on the table due to anatomy issues.
On the other habd, some of their kits look to be old Chota Sahib figures, and are simply gorgeous.(their French GiGN is simply amazing).
On their defense, the box art is never really that appealing, and one should not be detered due to poor box art.

I was put off by the box art but yesterday I saw some of their figures in the flesh in a shop and was surprised by the quality. I looked at a couple of Napoleonic figures and the quality of the faces was fantastic, as were the creases in the uniforms and the detail of the equipment. They're resin but some of the equipment is cast in Historex-style white plastic. I saw a WW2 American soldier that looked great too. I'm really excited now about the prospect of using some in a vignette I have planned. They're pretty reasonably priced too!

G'day all,
I love these figures apart from one thing, and that is that I think the boots look to small.
I'm refering to the US Pathfinder Paras. As everyone else said they are very nice figures.

Cheers Jason

I have a Nemrod SS officer, and I think it is a great figure. Great casting, with crisp detail. The hole for the head is a little to small to fit most Hornet heads though.

I'm painting a Nemrod napoleonic at the moment, and it's excellent. Crisp details, great facial sculpting, sharp edges on small details like cuffs & lapels.
I'd have no hesitation in buying more!

IMHO , concerning Napoleonic figures , i am used to paint "Metal modeles". I bought once Nemrod figure , i didn't paint yet . I am not attracted by historex figures
Concerning Napoleonic figures , I think both Nemrod and historex can't be compared to "Metal modeles" figures . For the others items , i do not know .

best regards
