Thank you Blind Pew, yes the choice of head gear works well with this figure. Eduard has done a great job on him for sure.

Wow, this is awesome. Nicely set, and the hat choice is a great touch as Blind Pew has already stated.
Eduard has struck again.
Have you any idea of the cost as yet?

Malc

Hi Malc it will be £36.00 inc P&P in the uk . The rest of the world we try and keep the postage to a minimum. Hope that helps .

Fantastic release Steve. I love the more unique ACW uniforms and hope to see more from you. A visit to the TBF site just alerted me to the Ming the merciless and soon to follow Flash Gordon release. As a big Alex Raymond fan I hope you will also be planning a Dale Arden release soon after.

David

Hi David thank you for the kind words. The ACW figure will be up over the weekend I know Terry was going to do it tonight or in the morning.

Ha you have discovered Ming the Merciless, yes this is a new line we are doing the next one is Flash Gordon then it will be Mandrake the Magician and his sidekick. Then the Phantom. We hope to do Dale Arden at a later date. Flash will fit with Ming to make a nice vignette but they are stand alone figures.

I will keep you informed as to the release date for Ming we are hoping to have the first castings by the end of the month but will see.

Early days I know, but can I also suggest (for the comic book series) a Dale Arden designed to stand behind Flash? Don't forget Prince Vultan the Hawkman and then The Shadow and maybe The Spirit with P'Gell.(y).
Although no there is no definitive creator (comic book wise) to go with, I would like to see some John Carter figures (maybe based around Frazetta's designs).

David

Hi David your certainly on the right path with us. The figures will be based on comic book stars of the 30s, 40s, and 50s so a whole world to have a go at.

John Carter is a favourite of mine love the character and the film was quite good, the stuff Frazetta did are amazing. But at the moment we have a list high you can imagine is quite a large diverse one the Rocketter, Doc Savage, Tarzan all on the to do list.

Below is mandrake the Magician and sidekick which we have in the wings. This shows the box wraps that will hold the figures. the box covers were designed by our good friend Mathew McKeeby. So you can see they will stand out .

Please keep the ideas coming as we always try and take a note of what we might have missed.

I agree with you on the unique uniforms of the early years of the ACW, there are so many that could be done i hope we see more

Hi Steve,
Mandrake looks good, I'm really hyped up for this range, although I can't see many going for Lothar in their cabinets.:ROFLMAO:. I realize you have a bucket load of subjects already planned but a few hints can't hurt can they?.
You said the magic word for me there :- ROCKETEER! As you can see from my avatar - I'm a big fan. But doesn't this open the concept a little too wide? As I'm sure you know, the Rocketeer is not a vintage character but a relativly modern tribute to the golden age from Dave Stevens, - nevertheless I would love to see Cliff, Betty and Peevy.
Would that open the gates to other properties such as the GOON? or would licensing be too much of a problem?
Could I also suggest Little Nemo characters or Li'l Abner?
Also if film subjects are a possibility why not Commando Cody - with removable helmet maybe?.
I also feel that some of the Femme Fatales and other female characters from the older comics would be good sellers even to a none comic fan modeler.

Good luck with whatever you decide (and don't forget those ACW figures).

David

Hi
Nice to see some early ACW regiments and hopefully more to follow.
The pose looks nice and causal and the options with the head gear.

So having preordered the figure, all l now need is to wait.

Hi David well you have given us lots to think about for sure. The concept is wide open to suggestions. As you said Rocketeer is a later date but one that attracts people. The idea is when this takes off we will be able to do so much more with. We have looked into licensing some as long as we sort of change the name we are ok .

The femme Fatales would be a good idea as they have mass appeal. We have had a lot of requests for the phantom which is a positive from our view point. The better we do the more we can bring to life. So pease do keep the subject coming we will pass them on to Roberto De Moe as this is his passion and he can’t wait to get more on the go. Next up Flash Gordon he will not be long behind Ming they will soon be toe to toe lol.

The ACW figure is now up for pre order I have to say the first batch is nearly gone we will have to up the order.

Check it out on our website on www.tfbminiatures.co.uk
