Hi All

it’s finally finished after a few tweaks and the adding of a 4th Figure it’s finally come to life.

The scene depicts the fatal charge of the Irish Brigade at Fredericksburg 1862.

This has been quite an adventure with a few twists and turns in the creating of it. With the help of Peter Griffith who contributed on the uniforms we think is come out very well indeed.

The plan is that we bring it out as a vignette and as individuals which means you can buy the whole thing or buy as much of it as you wish.

The figures will look good as stand alone subjects too.

We are casting is small batches as it’s such a complex piece. It will be up for pre order from Friday (tomorrow) we will be shipping mid to late Feb.

We say this as it gives us time to sort it out. We could be shipping sooner if everything goes to plan.

You can order through the website on www.tfbminiatures.co.uk where you will see it as a whole set and as individuals.

Ok well that’s kicking 2024 to a good start

Hi Steve, yes I have to say it’s full of movement, and they work very well on their own too. We have Javier Montero on standby to paint it. Their is a lot of work in it but so worth the effort.

The flag is in relief so it makes it easier for the painter, well you don’t have to free hand it it’s already their for you.

Thanks again for the kind words .

Hi Steve

I’ve just saved the pics from Greg on FB but you got here first !

Very dynamic group and individual figures

Good idea on purchasing

I can see all being popular but the colour bearers in particular

Thanks for sharing

I like the fact you've done the standards in relief. Can't speak for everyone but I like that. Will sell more because of it is my belief. Carry on with bringing out new stuff.

Hi ometz and Steve, thanks for the kind words. They do look great on their own and we will keep up with the range that’s for sure .

Steve,

Something is off on the sword drawn figure when I look at him in the picture. The back of his neck should be vertical an not at an angle. I did a test pose with a person and my phone to figure out why it was bugging me.

Here is a crude line of the direction on your picture of what I feel it should look like. I apologise it was drawn on my phone.

Don't get me wrong this whole vignette is amazing!

Wow what a stunning and epic scene they make together the flag bearers especially and yes the relief is a great way to go with a flag that big. They will.be magnificent all painted and displayed on a scenic base, love it.

Cheers Simon

+1 to that.

As someone who can't paint freehand patterns, heraldry etc. worth a damn (especially when it involves perfect symmetry and maintaining a consistent size), I like slight relief for flags & embroidery etc. because it gives those of us who lack such skills a fighting chance of making a decent fist of it. Just as long as the relief isn't overdone.

This is as said by many, a stunning set depicting an epic charge from the ACW, should be very popular.

Although l am still concerned with the mounting of the figures(each only on the ball of one foot
) to the base.

Hi everyone thank you for all the conservative comments I will try and answer them as a group. ok here goes the neck on the Officer has been noted and passed on to Greg for adjustment,

The relief on the flag is only slight after it’s been printed and cast it’s very low level so should not stand out too much.

The mounting of the figures, Greg has tested them and they are fine, the wounded standard bearer the flag hits the floor behind which balances the figure and the others have a plug on them the resin is quite light. If it were white metal I would worry but this should be fine.

Hope that helps
