We have two new figures that are now available. Roscoe Turner and his lion cub Gillroy and Harriet Quimby. Both are 54mm white metal Both retail for $28.00. Both figure were sculpted by Maxim Chertov

Harriet Quimby was one of the early stars at the dawn of aviation. She was the first woman to earn her pilots license in the United States and was the first woman to fly across the English Channel. An achievement that was more then overshadowed by the sinking of the Titanic the same week. Quimby as the spokesperson for the new grape soda, Vin Fiz, after the death of Cal Rogers the same year in April 1912. Her distinctive purple aviator uniform and image graced many of the advertising pieces of the day She was killed in an accident when she and her passenger were pitched out of her plane hight above Boston harbor. She was 37 years old and had been flying for only 11 months.

Roscoe Turner was an flamboyant self promoter who won Three Thomposn Trophies and one Bendix Trophy he epitomized the age of air racing in the mid to late 30's. Turner started out as a barnstormer just after WWI flying s surplus JN-4 Jenny. He also spent time as a Hollywood stunt pilot on Howard Hughes film "Hells Angels" He was famous for taking his lion cub everywhere with him. He and Gilmore the lion stayed its best hotels where ever they went. Gilmore had his own parachute that he wore when ever he flew.

I did not realize that. Let me fix that. We ship internationally all the time. Let me see if I can change that for the square site. Well it seems that that option is not one that is available at the time from them. What a pain here is our eBay items list and she is at the top. At lest there is an international shipping option there. http://www.ebay.com/sch/kingscrossroads/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_ipg=&_from=

Our site update on our main site is progressing but is moving along at a snails pace. I see I need to make that a priority for the sake of our international customers.
