Hi Marc,

for me 54 mm IS the scale for model soldier... at least for my preferences...

I have problem to find a 75 mm that's better than any 54

Maybe your right Ivo. If you can paint as good as you, 54 mm will always be the best scale specially in the Napoleontic era.
Now and then I'll try a 54mm but the laces are always a pain into the ass.

Do you think the tecnique is really different? If you're able to paint a 75 work on the actual 54 ( more 60 than 54) isn't really different.

Difference are in the price and quality but rarely a 75 is better in quality than a 54

Here's the difference between 54mm and 75mm+:

Luis, I have that for many years. Infact I bought it at a opticien and it is not plastic lenzes but glass and it is correct for color.
But my paint flows always into the lace instead at top of it.
And I like the NM painting, but cannot manage it.

Ivo: I have the Pegaso trumpeteer (http://www.pegasomodels.com/productdetails_en.asp?id=166) and after the failure with the MMM (http://www.metal-modeles.com/en/met...rgt-de-hussards-1806-compagnie-d-elite-detail) i will try again.

Beside this figure I have a truck loaded with Historex Figures
