Hi, this is may new projet: a bust from Verlinden. "The Grunt" (200 mm)

You can see first lihgts, and shadows (pictures are not as good as I wanted)

But comment, well, I like the fleshtones, maybe the pupil could be blacker and the 5o'clock shade should a bit darker, but thats a personnally thing I suppose. The straps around the shoulder (can't find the rightname of it, are to dark), most of the time they were lighter then the uniform, more khaki/tan likely color or if you got the new one they are more grey/greenish of color
( I must admit that I always paint a figure with colors who are not directly give bysupplier, because soldiers are never walk out the room with new clothing directly into the war, and after many days of fighting and living outdoors, clothing always will be faded).
What I understand of your posting you are not ready with highlightning and shadow, becasue it could have some more contrast, but as you said the pics are not really goood of quality, so, all y comments are based on the pics, if I had see it wrong, I'm sorry and you're right

Creo que se puede trabajar un poco más el ojo. Además quizás yo haría una pequeña línea marrón oscuro en la parte superior del globo ocular y una de marrón claro-rojizo en la inferior. No obstante no me atrevo a decirte mucho más con las imágenes que has puesto, ya que no veo los detalles más claramente. Me gusta, sin embargo, tu color carne ¿Cómo lo logras?. Creo que es muy natural.

Creo que estás haciendo un buen trabajo.

Hi Bert. Thanks for your comments.
This is the first step (jacket is no finished and the straps are not painted yet) You asked me the colour for the jacket (it only has tha base colour): DARK GREEN ( 893)

Hola Rafa ¿qué tal? Si te has dado cuenta la figura sólo está en su primer paso (no tiene todos los contrastes hechos, no tine pintados los dientes ni las cejas) pero sí, tienes razón en "lo del ojo".

En cuanto al tono de piel, yo hago lo siguiente (todas las referencias son de Vallejo y Andrea): primero doy una capa base de MARRÓN CORCHO (bueno varias capas del mismo color); las luces las doy añadiendo BEIGE a la base (de Vallejo o de Andrea) y CARNE MEDIO; para luego, en las ultimas luces dar sólo BEIGE. Las sombras las doy añadiendo CADMIO MARRÓN y MARRÓN ROJO. Una vez dadas las sombras, con la pintura muy aguada y dándo varias veces (muchas) unifico las luces y las sombras con CARNE MEDIO y BEIGE (repito, muy, muy, muy diliuido)

Jaime al menos que anders hable español no es facil entender la explicacion de tu mezcla , yo ya se lo traduje, pero podrias traducirla en el post tu tambien , debido a que varia en cosas tan sencillas como que para ellos no es marron sino brown el color para hacer referencias etc.

FLESH: base: CORK BROWN (843)
lights:
first light- base + beige (andrea colours 39) + medium flesh (860)
second light- adding more beige (AC 39)
third light- adding only beige (AC 39)

Shadows:
first shadow: base + cavalary brown (982) + cadmiun maroon (859)
second shadow: adding more cadmiun maroon (859)

Beard: Cork brown (843) + dark prussian blue (899) + violet (AC 23) + + water + water + water
