Hi Guys and thank you for your comments, the 'broomhandle' mauser it looks a bit like one but it's a revolver I will have to look it up.

I will say nap you have a lot of medals to have a go at LOL that's a lot of work in it's self I will be putting a color photo of the medals in with the kit just for guidance. It's a painters piece lost to go at should keep you happy for hours lol.

PINE, CHARLES LOUIS DESIRE (1814-1868), COLONEL




Marginal personality among the officers of his time, Colonel Du Pin had an importance and a celebrity that many of the generals who do not creep considered never reached. He was a leading figure, controversial, War of Mexico. Born in Lasgraisses (Tarn) December 28, 1814, a student of Polytechnic and the School of Application of Staff, Lieutenant in 1839, used to serve the map of France, captain in 1842, he was sent to the next year in Algeria, where he began to stand out

He was in decision Smalah Abd-el-Kader, May 16, 1843, and Horace Vernet painted it in the front row on his table. City, decorated, he became, on his return to France, General Marey-Monge adjutant, then squadron leader in 1851, he returned to Algeria in 1853 and took part in the expedition of the Zouaves General Randon. City again, he fought in the Crimea, and 19 September 1855, he was the lieutenant colonel of forty years. After the Italian campaign in 1859, where he served as chief of staff of a cavalry division, was appointed head of the topographic service expeditionary force of China and as cited in the decision of the highlights of the Pei-Ho where he conquered his colonel's stripes. AWESOME piece of work! Colorful indeed and never before done in a bust! Extra cool in every way from the sombrero to the red jacket with medals to the French revolver.

Hi Guys and thanks for the kind words, Steve thanks for the info on the Pistol I think you are right been looking it up myself. Helm Yes it is a bit off beat but a good painters piece. Joe the jacket with the medals will take a bit of doing but as said will keep people happy for hours.

Joe thank you we do our best trying not to follow the trend and do something different is always a gamble but one we are willing to roll with the kit will be out soon will post when ready.
