Wink wink. I have thought about a frock coat,

BUT

Its the fact that it is a long frock coat that makes it look good like an overcoat or cloak. Not sure how they would look on a bust??

You have a point but think it would look fine have the lace hanging slightly over at the lower edge .......and then of course what about mess dress ......winky winky

Greetings all.
Having just seen Nap's Thread "The Black Duke." Completed work. Got me to thinking. ( God help us)

With this Bust being Dark Blue for the jacket, and Black for the Braid and Mohair collar.

What sort of pallet would you suggest for the basecoat's , Highs and shadows.
especially between the braid two types and the mohair.
