Caesar is a cracker.
Pose reminds me of Pegaso 90mm Consul from way back and all the more worthy for that.
Cheers

The executioner is completley cool. I'm gonna have to get that guy.
That is exactly why I really like the Caesar figure, I love the neoclasscal pose and would love to give it a faux finish and place it on an exceptionally nice base, it is art. Now on to the executioner, equally nice sculpt, but I like that one as a miniature and for the pure fun of it. As to it being morbid etc, it is and I will probably never own it (stash is just too damn big), but history is dark, and I think I have only been "turned off" of figure once due to subject matter and that was the Pegaso SS Artillery Officer with the German Shepard. Also, when I first saw it, all I cool think is "wow, that is cool!" and then I thought about the subject, still cool; and it lends itself pretty easily to a setting. Both figures are very neat. I'll be putting Caesar on my wish list.
For anyone who's curious, it looks to me like the Caesar sculpt is based on a sculpture by Nicolas Coustou (at the Louvre I think). Except for the helmet it's pretty close. You be the judge...
