Love it already!!!!!!!

Oda.

PS: No matter when you release it,I will definitely get it.

Just to add to the discussion: the horse of the kit is really designed as a European horse because it is the sculpt of the mount for the thirty-years-war cavalryman of Avanpost Miniatures - obviously shared with Revolution. Cheers Martin

Wow this conversation really took off.
I agree totally with Oda. I am prepared to compromise but that in part is my point - WE HAVE TO! - because the Kiso is not being produced. I would settle for a short stature horse of any kind that would give the impression of a Japanese breed. I'm not denying anyone the right to buy any model they like the look of, I'd just like the sculptors of the world to take note and start accommodating those of us to whom Samurai are a major interest. If I bought a model of a Panzer Grenadier I wouldn't have a clue but I'm sure dozens of WW11 enthusiasts would immediately point out the smallest flaw in the field equipment. I'm just trying to do the same thing. Until then I will still buy "inaccurate" samurai if something about it appeals, knowing I can do a little work on it. I also agree the Pegaso range all have the right look, and in a much smaller scale the Zvezda range too.

You forgot about my samurai, which was produced by Autosculpt. My samurai carries a tachi sword.
Seil released a replica of my samurai

Hi Master TS,
Yes, your superbly sculpted Samurai carries a tachi. Your sculpt won 1st place in the "Chief 2009" show. It was released by AuthorSculpt in 2010 as a white metal kit and later a limited run in resin may be due to casting problem with white metal.

The Seil Miniatures 90mm Samurai with Strong Bow was released in 2007.

In 1997, Canadian Emmanuel Valerio with his sculpt of a 120mm Samurai archer "Defender of Kyushu" won gold in SCAHMS California show both best medieval award and best of show award.

I am eagerly looking forward to your new Samurai Archer sculpt in September.

Thanks Felix! I'm sorry I was wrong. It was so long ago that I thought my samurai was first.:)

Hi Guys

This is a fascinating amount of information on the horse , all responses well written and constructively answered

I am learning so much about the Kiso

Happy discussions

Nap

I hope you don't mind I have adjusted the left horse head and neck slightly bigger than the original one on the right. Kiso horse has a bigger and chubby head and neck.
