it would be nice to see an alternative head with the "dished" shako as shown in the example artwork posted. Food for thought, Chronos?

Jeff

I agree. I was surprised the figure wasn't wearing the 'dished' shako. It would certainly make it distinctively Russian. How about it Chronos?

Chris

Unfortunately shipping adds 50% to the cost, 25$ :( Then there is the possibility of a 20% VAT charge at this end.

Keith

The figure is heavy, and services of mail rose in price now.
But you can order any reasonable quantity of figures and delivery cost will remain same.

The last historical researches have shown that the Russian Hussar regiments haven't managed to receive bent a shako in 1812. A shako remained an old sample. Bent a shako have possibly looked down to shelves in 1814-15.
Presence of a carbine at a figure dates a figure only 1812.

Great figure and so much choice of painting options. Chronos figures are available in the UK from El Greco Miniatures, so should over come the danger of exchange rates and VAT for us Brits. Unless they've started charging extras for imports from Cornwall?

Unfortunately ElGreko stopped purchase of my figures. I would be glad to continue a cooperation with them. Appeal to them and we will hope that my figures will appear in their shop again.

Many thanks for the clarification. It is a lovely figure and should do well.

Chris

Hussar Shako mod.1809. It is this Shako used hussars in 1812 campaign.

And a great collection of vivid pictures to go with it....can you tell us the artist, please ? I like his style, a little like the late lamented Eugene Leliepvre (y)

We have no problems stocking the Chronos product range - whether large or small. We stopped importing Chronos for reasons which Dimitry knows full well. Unfortunately we could not offer a competitive retail price after Chronos discounted their kits online.

Regardless, very nice figure, Dimitry, and hope you do well with it.

Regards,
Matt

Dear colleagues, at the request of some сustomers, we made an additional 3 details to the Russian mounted hussar (CHM-54100), a version of the head in a shako with a deflection for 1813-14, a sultan for 1811 -14 years. And a cavalry choke for 1811-14, so the figure can now be dated 1811-14 years. The parts are made of metal. All new kits from today will be sold already with new details, buyers who purchased this figure earlier and who will need these additional details, such kits will be provided free of charge. A table with details and years of use is attached.
