Next World Expo Location?

Has anyone any word on the bids for the next World Expo?

Which clubs placed bids?

Are there any members in contact with any of the WMSF folks?

World Expo dont announced any country or club in the end of WE Montreux cerimony, strange but I heard something about Italy or Canada, but I would love to see it in Lisbon, lets see!

In one of the interviews put out by the organisers Bill Horan mentioned a strong bid from Palermo?......decision to be made by Xmas.

As far as I know, only Palermo has officially put in a bid so far, but there are other places considering it.

Any model club can enroll with the WMSF, World Model Soldier Federation, They are then entitled to one vote for the location of the next World Expo. Usually there are a number of presentations given at the World Expo but Im not sure if there was only one presentation which came from Palermo. I had thought the next world expo would be in the States so perhaps there was no presentation from there.

Don't toy with me. I had heard that Montreal hosted one but I think that was in the late 1990's. If not Canada, I sure hope some enterprising club in North America steps up to the plate.

John, I've been to the site recently, the site is full of outdated material and using the contact email I never receive a response

Whomever is the host I wish they will make full use of planetFigure's support.

I offered the organizers of the Swiss Expo 2011 full planetFigure support in terms of promotion and advertising but never heard back.

The only Canadian Expo was in '98 and held in Toronto.
