The bust of polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus (1473—1543).
I tried to do my best basing on the portrait of Copernicus reconstructed by polish archaeologists and anthropologists after they discovered in 2005 a grave with Copernicus remains in the Cathedral of Frauenburg.
The portrait of 70 years old man looks quite different from known portraits where we can see a young man with long nose, prominent chin and long hair.

Thanks guys for your attention.
Denes, it's rather big - I think it woud be between 1:5 to 1:6 scale. The measurments of all piece are 9.5x9x5 cm. And he is ready of course. Ready to what? Nevertheles he is always ready. :)

I think your best turned out great, Great sculpture of a man I much admire.
Thanks for sharing, and keep up the good work.

Cheers
Roc.

Piotr, thank you for the link! It was really interesting story about 200 years os search for Copernicus burial place. I'm glad that polish scientists put the final point in it.

Roc, I'm glad you like it!

Excellent choice of subject.
I´ve been wishing for a series... da Vince, Gallileo, Darwin and Hawkins, Dawkins...
