Hi Ken:
This bust turned out so beautifully, Ken. I would think since women,
especially these brave and young Russian women from that terrible war
on the Eastern Front, would have such small and delicate features, such
as the nose, ears, mouth, that it would be that much more difficult, than
rendering the face of a man. This obviously shows what skill and talent
that you possess. Congratulations on a job well done.
The subject matter is one I hope you will expand upon; and I see this
particular rendering as a way of paying homage to the brave and
dedicated Russian women, from so long ago. We need to remember
them, and the sacrifices that made, as I see it. That horrific nightmare
exacted a terrible toll. Knowing that she also was killed in combat, then
this bust, for me, will be a reminder, that:
"Freedom is not free"

Ken a very nice to finish to this one mate and great choice to bite the bullet and redo the decorations, the revised versions are much better and very realistic with more profile.

sorry I missed this, great work!
female are a touch more demanding, due to their more subtle nature (build wise) and it was good to see this done.
Einion seems to have excellent anatomical knowledge, he was spot on about something I missed!

Jamie , always appreciate your comments. I have shortened the neck and as I replied to Einion with the addition of the epaulettes I hope it has made a positive difference. I saw her as a proud woman , shoulders back, head held high and showing off her medals and I hope that apperance comes across.
