I want to thank the organisers for all their hard work in putting together a great little show. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it was nice to meet fellow pfers (although it took a bit of hard work to track Simon down, having trimmed his beard! I actually approached a completely wrong person at one stage leaving me with a very red face!).

I was pretty much guilty of the same crime, I was already chatting to Simon and didn't recognise him. Doh!

A selection of Simon's stunning work, and a WW1 bust that caught my eye. ( I have that one to paint)

Hello all,
I too wish to congratulate the organisers for a great show.
I was lovely to meet with Simon and Malc and I too must second that Simons figures are fantastic in the flesh so to speak and gosh what a lot of them.
I managed a couple of bronzes and a gold for which I'm thrilled to bits, thank you all and I know Malc received some medals too. Sadly I missed the other planeteers, maybe next time :)
Also congratulations to Robert Lane for a well deserved gold and best in show for his 30th Regt at Salamanca.

As days go it wasn't a bad one, great show and England didn't lose to Italy, but only just. Looking at the score I'm not sure I want to watch the recording!

Anyway North Surrey show, been going to this one for many years and it's always a good one and I always walk away with a load of stuff from the tombola I don't want, cheers Dave!

There were plenty of clubs in attendance and a good selection of traders including Elan 13 with Planeteer Rob Lane. It was also nice to.meet other Planeteers, Kev Jarret, Frog,MalcC, NigelR and Melanie Clubcat. As well as other modellers I've known for years.

A small selection of competition classes but most very well subscribed with some Planeteers being awarded various levels, if I was organised I'd have a list but I'm not so I don't.

Nap asked for photos, so I post them in a mo, the only one I missed was Malc eating Naps bacon butty, but I did witness the event.

really , have the rules changed?
I went a few years ago without being a member. I was planning to go better get joined

No need to be a member like Malc says, I just know if I turn up Frog will have ne spending money at the tombola and me taking home what everybody else was keen to get rid of! That said if your going and taking the diorama of the year I'll be there as I really want to see it in the flesh.

Cheers Simon

Actually I got stung on it myself the time I went, ha ha!
If by 'diorama of the year ' you mean the 45 ieme Regiment de Ligne then A) I am extremely flattered and B) yes that was the plan

Yes that's the diorama I meant so I'll make sure I attend this year. I haven't been a BMSS member for over 20 years now. Best look up the date.

Cheers Simon
